Wow...
Every side gets a unique heavy unit with a special ability. Imperials get a dark trooper that has a jet-pack and a sweet shot-gunny type blaster. Rebels get a wookie with a bowcaster. That bitch is next to impossible to kill. I think the clones get a jetpack guy. And the droids get DESTROYER DROIDS! They can roll around in the wheel mode and use shields and everything. The downside though is that when you actually want to shoot something with them then they’re REALLY slow....and they have no strafe. Annoying as hell.
Uhm, what else...the music of course is phenomenal, because it’s the original star wars score. Voice acting ain’t half bad. I havn’t even really played online. I cant begin to imagine what a lan would be like with this game! Sweet lord that would rock.
A few downsides: well, it doesnt have many...I suppose one is the price, but it’s a new game, and I think its worth it. Some of the levels have very low visibility, and its really hard to see enemies, esp. if your enemies are rebel snipers...but again, that makes sense. Another annoyance is that it’s next to impossible to pilot a speeder bike.
Overall, this game is extremely well thought out and well developed. I don’t know what it is, but LucasArts has been producing QUALITY shit lately. I mean, I loved xwing and tie fighter in their day, but that was about the only thing LA could produce. Dark forces, Jedi Knight...I mean cmon. But the last two games that they’ve produced have been excellent. KotOR II will most likely continue the trend. At least I hope so. There’s also supposed to be a republic commando game that’s coming out, I wasn’t planning on buy it, but I just might now. I dunno, go buy this game, cause I wanna have a lan over thanksgiving.

Hey all, sup, Im in college. Its pretty sweet. Floor-mates seem pretty cool, no one I can really relate to like back home though for some reason. I do live with a familiar face though, margit hebl lives a few floors up, so that's cool. UV blue vodka is good stuff...and its blue.Class starts tommorow...only a chem lecture as the lab was cancelled for this week. Same with the eco discussion on fridays. So that means my three day weekend is gonna start an hour earlier than normal. Im gonna party it up and party it down. Or whatever the lingo is that you kids are using these days.

So...just got back from the Nelson/Dylan concert...it fucking ROCKED. Nelson finaled with “I’ll Fly Away.” Dylan opened with “Rainy day woman #12 and 35,” he went on to play “It ain’t me babe” and finaled with “Like a rolling stone” and a kickass “All along the watchtower” I leave for college day after tomorrow...shit to do tomorrow...oh well. Can’t wait to leave...woohoo.
Alycia is going to basic...she’s also madly in love with jeff...its hilarious.
Im ripping a small portion of my dad’s CDs...list: O Brother Where art thou soundtrack, best of fleetwood mack, essential bob dylan, Dylan on mtv unplugged, best of the doors, the beatles’ one, the Bodeans Joe Dirt car, and Aerosmith’s honkin on bobo.

I led an interesting high school life. Being two months removed from the whole thing I think I can be at least a bit objective. Looking back at my four years in high school, the only thing that I can safely conclude is that I floated through. There were really no highs or lows, no great achievements, although no great letdowns either. Of course there were a few ups and downs, but none of them significant on more than a day to day setting. Im really not sure if this should disappoint me or not. I don’t even know what I wanted to expect or happen. Maybe I wanted a Hollywood moment. Like the last scene in the breakfast club, where all the teens have some big revelation about themselves. Or maybe like the scene in better off dead where John Cusack wins the big ski race against his rival. This may seem like a bitch-fest, but I don’t care. I guess I just wanted to throw the winning touchdown, get a stand ovation for a lead role, get the girl, ya know. My biggest fear in life is dying in mediocrity. Maybe I just wanted to absolve that so I wouldn’t have to worry about it, I’m really not sure. I want to be remembered. People like RJ will be remembered for their grades, people like Stenson for their musical talent, people like Beth for her art. The other question is, if people do remember me, what will they remember about me. Most likely that I was just that annoying kid that talked too much. I’ve come to accept that’s who I am, for the most part anyway. But I want people to remember me for something I did, not who I was. I would rather be infamous than forgotten, but in a perfect world I would much rather be remember for something more than being an ass.2004-07-30 - 12:59 a.m.
Where are we running to
What are we running from
Toward are dreams
Or away from our nightmares
Dreams slip through fingers
Rarely does a beast catch prey in apathy
Just out of reach are our dreams
Just out of reach is their prey

Well, I havn’t done this for a while, so I think Ill update. News no one cares about first: I read the new virtual cards for star wars (I still occasionally play a game or two) and black sun is the SHITZ0R! Its pretty nuts, black sun with scum, put Xizor and Guri with a ability 1 scrub at a site, they try to drop you with a leia/han/chewie combo or some shit, all you do is pull unexpected interruption, exclude leia from the battle, smack down by drawing two battle destiny from ability and Guri (V) text, add leia’s power to Xizor’s with interruption, and sac guri to satisfy all attrition. Then next turn you retrieve guri with the CC incinerator, which you also must throw in there, throw another one, and smack the remaining lonely leia to FUCKING OBLIVION! Also retrieving three force due to the fact that you can play scum whilst doing black sun. Play bane malar wherever your main black sun planet is and your force drain buffs cant be cancelled, and the POOF, they’re screwed. If I ever play again, Im playing this deck…it est shitz0r. Onto stuff people will understand. Buckthorns suck ASS. They’re these huge ass tree-like weeds (about a foot in diameter) that grow into the ground (duh). Their root structure probably has something like a four foot outward radius and goes into the ground something like three feet. To remove them what you have to do is cut off the top and then dig out the main roots; to do this you must dig a hole around the damn thing and chop away all the roots with a hatchet until you can get the damned stump out. Yeah. It took me and my dad working together two hours to get 7 stumps….we have like 10-15 left out there. Oi.
I’ve been sucking lately at poker. I’m in somewhat of a slump. Hopefully Ill do well tomorrow. If not then who knows. Whatever
Party at adam’s tonight, w00t w00t.
Went to the going out of business sale at face yesterday, got a red shirt with a yellow star and a big yellow CCCP on the front...bitching. Also got a stewie family guy shirt that says 'kill broccoli'. Going back today methinks cause mom says she'll also buy me the tie-dyed bob dylan shirt I saw. Sweetness.

Well....in the words of teen girl squad...ITS OVER!! Finally. Looking back there are going to be three things I miss: my friends, drama, and physics (and the latter two's assossiated teachers/advisors). There are however, many things Im not going to miss: having to do shitty busy work, dealing with morons and assholes (although that's gonna happen anywhere you go) and much, much more.Commencement got cancelled, then later reschedueled. That woulda been sweet. All the people who are in NHS and get honors diplomas just to look good and not for the right reasons (hint: SELF FUFILLMENT!!) wouldn't get to strut in front of the crowd. But alas, it was reschedueled. It was kinda boring, miller's and stenson's speeches were good. Vig's was ok, Allison bond's speech was well delivered if not uninspired. Jesse, matt and ellen played good riddance by green day near the end. That was awesome. The rest, was boring as hell.
I have a job at hallmark. Come visit me (90% of the time I'm on from 12-3 weekdays). I need another, more money :)
and now some words of wisdom from Jake Donze
"I know I'll miss you
After all we've been through
And all we've shared
I wanted to thank you
For the little things you do
That show you care
I will support you if you try to follow what you feel
Forget about what's practical, forget about what's real
Doubts may cloud the many routes that appear along the way
But if youre following your dreams
It'll always be clear as day
Always love what you do
Do what you say
Say what you mean
Encourage, Influence, Entertain and Intervene
Answer questions
Question answers
To yourself be true
Laugh and play
Sing and say
Act and follow through
Take only memories, leave only footprints
You can see right through me
While others only see
My wall of protection
You help me set free
Feelings that used to be
Safe from detection
Regrets dwell within the wells of things you've never tried
You have to build your sandcastles
That'll wait the tide
And if they fall rebuild the walls and take the time to mend
The only mistake you could make is to never try again
Always love what you do
Do what you say
Say what you mean

Damn, the past couple of weeks have just absolutely kicked ASS! So like I said before, I got into Wisconsin, which makes me happy. Now to new stuff. Me and Haugen went to the VICA state championships for TV production this weekend and kicked Wayzeta’s ass. First place and we are going to nationals in Kansas City this June. Yeah, but damn, the chick on the Wayzeta team was really hot. Cletus calls it the Tits and Ass approach, put a hot chick on camera for states and hope that the judges ogle her enough so that they win…cept it hasn’t worked for the past three years. Won a 25 dollar certificate to best buy (Ive already bought morrowind with it). Thus continues mayo’s reign of terror! I also placed third in a technical math test, and got an honerable mention in a trade math test. Woulda done better had I attempted the harder questions I knew I could do on the tech test, but by the time I got around to it I had been doing math for THREE STRAIGHT HOURS!! THATS TOO MUCH MATH!!!! Also there was a dance, which was awesome. I headbanged…a lot. Whilst head-banging I saw this thirty year old (maybe late twenties) woman advisor head-banging as well, it was fucking awesome. I also met a GIRL…and go her email….go me? Lol.
And finally, I have a date to prom, but I’m not telling no one, cause it’s a secret…or surprise…or something. NEENER!

Heheh, Im such a rabble rouser. So I will tell you my story, both for my amusement and for yours. So we are having community week at mayo, and today we had an open forum about hate speech. I needless to say decided to spice things up a bit. So I made the comment that it’s not the words themselves that are hateful, but the thoughts behind them are what’s hateful. I also made the comment that its not the people who insult that give these words power, but the people are offended, because if you were proud of who you were, why would it even be an insult….and furthermore, how can someone possibly be insulted by someone who’s so ignorant to think that just because a racial slur says its true means it applies to everyone. So people thought I was speaking literally, that I advocated using racial, sexual, and other types of slurs, and that I didn’t think they were insulting. I was merely proposing a philosophical question. What’s more is that I couldn’t defend myself cause the faculty advisor gave Tony the order to cut my mike.
So anyway, I decided I wanted to make a statement, so I made a t-shirt. On the front it says “Proud to be a…” and on the back is has a four item list…the four items are Wop, Dick, Whitey, and Cracker. All of which I am. So Freddy called me to his office and after I intellectually OWNED him, I was told to ‘try to empathize with how other people feel for the rest of the week.’ What BS no?
Any questions, just ask.

Empty VictoryPerched atop the pile of gold and riches
The cows and boars bow before him
The grapes spill wine at his mere thought
Ordering an underling to fill his chalice
He brings it to his lips, but comes up empty
Leaning down he fills it himself
But nothing
An empty chalice as a reward
Anything he wants
Anything he needs
Except that which he most desires

These three are very similar as they are all variations on a theme, I couldn’t get any one poem to come out right, so I got theseMy Grief
My grief has seen stronger days
My grief is but a weakened haze
Grief which once flew from pen
The well of tears dried up again
Which opened wounds once did bleed
Scabbing over carrying seed
Of better days for me and mine
When my love again will shine
Drought
I ink my pen it comes up dry
My well of grief dried out
My inky pen now filled with doubt
Upon the page I scratch my name
Put down my name upon a work of shame
A meaningless and senseless draught
That from no one ever thought
What did I do before I feel
This empty feeling which now is real
Nothing I’ve ever done or said
Has ever really been from my head
Desertion
I push the pen into empty well
The tip cracks on the dry glass
I swirl it around in vain
Trying to catch the globules of ink in the corner
Alas in vain as they vanish into the air
I withdraw my pen from the barren well
And try to scratch my work upon the page
The page rips and is destroyed
Nothing created but a void

Mm, I'm feeling very satisfied. There's nothing, and I mean nothing, like a good meal and then a nap. We had famous daves takeout, and I had the half barbeque chicken, and a glass of milk. And as I sat, eating my meat, drinking my milk, I thought "Damn, I don't understand veganism at all..." But to each his own aeh?Well I'm not sure if you're interested but to those who are: my dad's surgery went fine, and he's making a speedy recovery. He's still in the hospital, but he's already up walking. Very good.
That's really about all

Bah, I want to be home, it's so very excrutiatingly boring in wisconsin. Ya see, I don't mind being here, its being here with no purpose that makes me sad. We could leave tommorow, but no, we want to stay longer, for some reason. We have no plans tommorow, and all we're going to do sunday is watch the packer game. So we are leaving for rochester monday, instead of tommorow, wooo. Stupid rentsOn the plus side, I celebrated christmas with my uncle and cousins on my mom's side, was much fun. They actually got me cool gifts. My uncle got me some good poker chips with a case, my elder cousin got me a wallet, which I desperately needed, and my younger cousin got me a barnes and noble gift certificate.
Went to celebrate said elder cousin's birthday tonight, I had chicken parmesan, it was tasty. Went to borders after and I bought american gods, hooray for gaiman. And such

I am completely convinced that my family (not my immediate family, but my grandma/grandpa/aunts/uncles on my dad's side) thinks that I am a women. Well, it might not be that bad, but still. There were two thoughtfull gifts that I recieved this year: a guitar magazine subscription, and a nice shirt (men's, luckily they got that right), two other gifts were cash, as if it were that hard to get a best buy gift certificate, and here's the kicker, my aunt and uncle (through my cousins) got me soap and body wash from bath and body works. WHAT THE HELL!!!! I AM A MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!! I don't really care that you cant think of anything to get me, get me food for all I care, but you do NOT buy a man products from anything with 'bath' or 'body' in the title, unless body is used in the context of working out, which is the exact opposite of bath and body works as when working out you get dirty, bath and body works wants to get you clean. At least my parents and sister got me thoughtfull gifts. My sister got me a feynman book and a book on the history of numbers. My parents got me a fractal calander, a favre jersey, a da vinci tshirt, the last left behind book and some cash. I mean cmon, bath and body works, it was nuts.In other news I get to go spend time with my cousins and uncle who is living away from his aunt. No legal actions are pending as of yet. I dont even know whats going on. But that should be fun, exchange a few gifts, yada yada.
Went to RotK yesterday again, better than the first time maybe, I dunno, it was still good.
